Info: 16.3hh – Warmblood & Oldernburg – Gelding – Bay – 11YO

Sire: Furst Love

Registered with: Australian Warmblood Horse Association

Price: POA (low to mid 5 figures)

Hastings is a stunning, big, bay Warmblood. He has excellent bloodlines and movement, and is never short on compliments. He is ridden in a simple snaffle bit, with no training devices. He is easy to wash, catch, shoe, clip and lead. He is up to date with shoeing, teeth, and vaccinations.

Hastings has a big, floaty walk, trot and canter, with a solid flatwork education. He is currently working on his laterals, lengthening and collection of all strides, and lead changes. He is improving his walk to canter transitions, leg yields and reign backs. He has great self-carriage with a short or long rein. Due to his lovely movement and build, he would excel in dressage with further training.

Hastings is bold and honest when it comes to Show jumping. He has a big and scopey jump, and rarely touches a rail when set up correctly (whether going at a gallop or a slow trot). He is comfortably jumping 1-1.10m at home, and 80-90cm at competitions with me. He can easily progress up the levels and will have no trouble jumping the bigger tracks. He has also had some limited Cross Country training and excelled at it. He would be a great Eventer or suit straight Show jumping.

Hastings has competed at Northside Riding Club, Pony Club Rallies and Sydney Jump Club, where he remained calm and level headed whilst giving some great rounds. He has been agisted at Cpec, where he was unfazed by cars and construction. He is currently located at my local Pony Club grounds, where he is paddocked with a large herd. He is great with dogs, road rides, and farm equipment.

Hastings would suit a confident young rider or professional adult looking to further educate and compete with a standout, talented horse. He has been ridden by my mum (beginner rider) on occasion and leased once a week by an intermediate rider. He always takes care of me and respects my aids, even though I am a nervous rider who suffers with scoliosis.

Hastings is only being sold or full leased out due to me needing to focus on my work and schooling. He deserves to have the best home, where he can advance and become the competitive horse I know he can be. Price is negotiable for the right home! And his current tack set up and rugs (including my new Equiline saddle) can be sold with him. He will continue to be ridden 5 days a week until sold.

*I have included footage of my friends and myself riding Hastings, to show his versatility with different types of riders. For reference, I am 5’9”, whilst my friends are both 5’6”.
