Zulu is a 16.2hh 16y/o warmblood mare by Mayfield Pzazz (Jazz) out of a Grand Kavalier Mare.
With beautiful and willing movement, Zulu has been competed regularly at Pony Club, Interschool, EA and FEI classes taking her junior rider to interschool nationals and CDI-J classes. Zulu has qualified and competed at VIC State Dressage Festival 2021 and has competed extensively at Interschools, EA competitions and pony club.
A forward moving horse in a soft snaffle mouth, with correct and light aids. Currently training medium with potential to continue up the levels. Established flying changes and half passes, with scores over 60% in official EA medium classes. This year and end of last competed the season at elementary level, scoring mid to high 60s - placing fourth overall in the VEIS series and a reserve for the Vic team. A calm temperament when at home and out, easy to float/trim/catch.
Zulu has also shown talent outside of the dressage ring with her jumping ability, clearing 115-120 fences with ease and loving cantering around cross-country courses - however rider more interested in her dressage ability. Has also been around the show ring at Interschool classes, coming home in the ribbons.
Would suit an established rider, making a beautiful Interschool or AOR mount. Zulu has a beautiful and kind nature with no buck, bolt or anything nasty.
Self loads on float, extensively travelled and competed at many different locations, including overnight stabling and yards. Easy to catch, trim, bath, clip etc. No nasty vices.
Ridden by a junior rider, currently in full work. Used to clippers, dogs, machinery, quads etc. Zulu is a super horse, great confidence builder and a safe horse to take out and about, she has competed in all weather conditions without issue. Zulu is best suited to a competition home with interest in dressage, interschools or Adult riders who are wanting a safe, quiet horse with looks and potential.
