Maze is a lovely, quiet, 16.3hh, rising 5yo, brown Warmblood mare; DOB 16/9/18, out of a Gymnastik Star mare, by 00 Seven. We bought Maze off her breeder as a 2yo for a project. We have broken her in, brought her along slowly, and she has turned out to be a very nice mare under-saddle. Maze is very friendly, has a lovely front, a pretty face, and also has the nicest ground manners for such a big girl.
Maze is very happy to poke around the farm either on her own or with others on trail rides, she has been to Pony Club days and camps and was faultless, taking it all in her stride; the little kids on their ponies roaring around, completing jump rounds and cross country jumps without a worry in the world.
Maze has been to a Dressage competition in early March and we were very happy with her efforts and placing 2nd in her test we were thrilled. She has just been to her second comp (Mid-June) and placed 1st and 2nd in her two preliminary tests with 10+ horses in both tests.
Maze has proven that she has no silly business, even after a lengthy spell, we don't lunge her at home or at comps, we just get on and go. Maze is a very confident mare and will have a go at anything you ask of her. For that reason, we are confident in saying that she will suit many disciplines. We have even done stock work on her, which she seems to enjoy. A lovely mare to do anything with, easy to catch (she catches you), great to rug, float/truck (has been used for a companion traveller for youngsters, and has been loaded and unloaded at comps with just one handler). No vice at all either on the ground or under saddle. Our main thing is stock horses and we just have so many on the go at the moment, so some tough decisions have been made. My daughter has 3 big horses and is full-time at uni, which makes the juggling very difficult.
Maze will only be sold to the right home and if we don't find the right home for her now, then we will just put her back out in the paddock for another year. We realize that she is still young and has much to learn, she is very trainable and that is why she has been so easy. All the basics on this mare are done and there is no baggage, she has been successful at her first two comps, not to mention very relaxed and well-behaved at all the other outings she has now had.
Maze has been ridden by a keen teenager, and she just plodded around just doing what was asked. She can be a bit lazy if anything, so I would say she has more whoa than go at times. We are confident that she will make someone very, very happy. Maze would be suited to a keen teen wanting to do showing, dressage and or PC. She would also be suited to a lady wanting to have a horse who was easy to manage totally on their own. Maze is currently in work and can be viewed at any time or any day. We are unsure if we are making the right choice in offering her for sale, but our loss could be your gain.
100% sound, blemish-free, and drug-free.
Chiro, farrier, drench, and teeth are all up to date, a vet check has been done and Maze has been cleared of any issues.
Asking $20,000 firm at this point in time, we think this is a fair price for the big sweet girl that Maze is.
