Furst Obsession also known as Ash is looking for his new best friend. Ash is available through no fault of his own but needs a rider to give him the time that he needs and make him feel like number 1. Ash is a 9yo Oldenburger x, sired by Furst Love out of CC Obsession (Warmblood x TB) and standing at around 16.2hh.  Ash is a gentle soul to be around, loves attention and come to the gate when his person shows up for pats.  He is great to handle on the ground and saddle and reasonably easy to worm, shoe and float. Ash is very confident at home in his own surroundings but requires an intermediate rider who is confident and able to give him direction at outings. He works to voice command on the lunge and lunges over poles and small jumps. 

Ash was professionally broken in as a 4yo but spent 2 years not doing much due to previous owner having limited time with university and family commitments. He was purchased 3 years ago by the current owner off a professional trainer. Ash is a big horse who needs consistent work on the ground or in the saddle to bring out the best in him as well as someone who’s had big horses before.  Ash has been to HRCAV rally’s, trail riding and obstacle clinics. 

In January 2021 Ash was diagnosed as a roarer and had a successful operation to correct this and has had no issues since the procedure. Ash has always had consistent body work in the last 3 years. Ash loves his food and is great to paddock alone or with other horses. 

Ash is currently in full work training elementary movements at home and ready to start his next journey. With the right rider giving Ash consistent work and more outings he will be a successful horse that can do most disciplines. Ash had his first jump and easily cleared 75-80cm and was very willing.
