KWPN out of Northern Vienetta (DOB 10 Jan 2015). 


Vaquero has been produced with a focus on dressage with limited competition starts under his belt. He shows potential for jumping and eventing but has only just commenced training for these phases. He has been competing at preliminary and has been schooling up to elementary level. Vaquero hasn't competed much but, according to his previous owner, he trained with the Vic Young Rider Dressage Squad and placed in his very first outing! He maintains a consistent rhythm and is slightly more woah than go, but very willing to go forward when asked. He is naturally supple over the back and through his ribs both ways, and works steadily in a beautiful outline. He has a great level of natural impulsion and shows the potential to produce some very impressive work as he builds strength and learns more. He is relatively straight both ways and works correctly in alignment for his training level. He shows great aptitude for collection and has a talent for picking up the lateral movements. Vaquero has beautiful, high quality paces with excellent swing and ground cover with enormous scope for higher level dressage. He has an active walk with a clear overtrick, a swingy, expressive trot with great range already and a canter to die for. He is naturally very balanced and regular, and this - combined with his eye-catching type - makes him the ideal candidate for dressage sport or other performance based equestrian disciplines. Vaquero is a very pleasant boy to be around although he does need a competent and confident handler, he is not suitable for an anxious person. He is generally well mannered and seems to be a very sweet, affectionate boy. Vaquero has no known history of soundness or health issues and is a very good doer. He has been stabled, paddocked, and yarded. He settled in very quickly to our place and was ridden on arrival after a short return back to work with no dramas at all. Vaquero is a delightful young man with the whole world ahead of him in your chosen discipline. Horses like Vaquero do not come along often and he should not be overlooked. He has genuine potential to be competitive at the higher end of the sport but also the versatility to be a lower level ARC dressage allrounder / pleasure mount. We feel that Vaquero could suit a range of riders at different experience levels as he seems to be quiet / safe enough to ride for the less advanced but also flashy enough for the more ambitious. This being said, he does require a competent and confident handler to continue working on the bridling quirk etc. with him. This is a very, very exciting horse, and we 100% believe he has a huge future ahead with his new rider. Someone is going to be very privileged to secure a horse like Vaquero and we can't wait to see what he gets up to in his new home!
