Ruby is an ultra-consistent performer who has successfully competed in dressage, eventing, show jumping and showing, and has the potential to keep moving up the grades in any of these disciplines. She is a lovely horse to ride on the flat with a soft mouth and 3 smooth paces, including a beautiful uphill canter which regularly scores 9s in dressage tests. She loves jumping and has always been very bold (has never stopped at a jump in her life), and she is fantastic to take trail riding or up the road where she isn’t fazed by trucks, motorbikes, kangaroos etc.

Ruby is a pleasure to compete; you can get straight on with no fuss, she will stand tied to the truck all day, is good in the warm up arena and does not get separation anxiety if taken with another horse. She has never been in a float as I do not own one but travels perfectly in the truck.

Ruby has always been ridden in a snaffle and is very sensible under saddle, even after a spell. I have let inexperienced/nervous people ride her and she behaved perfectly for them. She is generally easy to handle on the ground, however she can be temperamental at times where she will occasionally attempt to bite. Therefore, she requires a competent handler and will not be sold to a beginner.

This is an extremely sad sale of a much-loved homebred mare and a rare opportunity to purchase a quality all-rounder. Please do not enquire if you cannot offer Ruby a 5* home!

Ruby is currently in full work and is up to date with farrier, dental and worming. Vet checks welcome.
