Catie was bought as a green broken 4 year old from the Dobbins at Glenwood Park and has been produced to 120 classes by her current owners. Catie is a wonderful example of the modern athletic horse being naturally built uphill, with a strong shoulder and hind quarter, a lovely set neck, and strong legs. She has elastic paces and a sharp and active hind quarter action.

Significant Results
Victorian State Showjumping Titles 2022
Class 11 - Hickstead Round 1 - 110 - 4th place
Class 30 - 110 - 4th place
GDP Classic 110 - 2nd place
Western District Showjumping Championships 110 - 3rd place

Catie is ridden in a simple snaffle bit. She is adjustable, competitive against the clock and rarely touches a rail. Catie is reliable under saddle and is currently being kept in work by the rider’s 11 year old sister. She has a great foundation of flat work and has countless clear rounds up to 120 under her belt. Catie is currenting ridden 3 days a week.

While Catie is great to truck, float, shoe, clip and catch, she is a ‘mare’ on the ground. Catie was on Regumate to regulate her moods but took her off as it didn’t really make a difference. She’ll put the ears back and pull faces but has never bitten or kicked anyone. All bluff! Also had her ovaries scanned twice to check for any abnormalities and got the all clear. Under saddle, Catie ignores the other horses.

For this reason, the owners are seeking a home that is experienced in managing mares and preferably will keep Catie paddocked on her own, with other horses over the fence.

Catie is sound and injury free. She does have a small lump on her knee that has been present throughout her ridden career. It has been checked and the owner’s vet doesn’t have any concerns. The owners believe that she would pass a full vet check, Catie has never had an unsound day or injury. She gets 4cyte as a joint supplement,

For the above reasons, Catie is very reasonably priced, to meet the market. Catie is for sale as her rider has too many horses and too little time. The owners believe that Catie would be a great horse for an ambitious young rider looking for a competitive interschools horse.

Sire: Caracas - Grand Prix show jumping stallion by Olympian Casall Ask. Caracas and rider Jos Verlooy have had countless successes at the top level of international show jumping,  including the CSI5* GP 1m60 Jump Off in Ascona and the CSI5* GP 1m50 Jump Off and CSI5* GP in Doha. Caracas was born in Australia. In 2017 the first mares were covered in Europe. Caracas offspring are famous for their looks and ability.

Dam Sire: Belcam Agassi - Belcam Agassi 1996 Grey stallion 16.3hh sired by Argentinus out of a mare by Silveneer. His progeny all appear to inherit an amazing talent for jumping. Agassi's progeny have been highly successful in the show jumping ring all the way to World Cup level.
