Riversong was started as 5 1/2 year old, training Medium/Advanced - ideal home would be an amateur rider that would like a competitive fun horse with a willing attitude towards everything. She has the talent to go all the way with an ambitious rider.
Currently in full work 6 days a week. Recent full set of x-rays are available, taken 31/05. She is sound with very good looking x-rays and has always had the best care a horse could wish for. Straight legs and movement with great conformation.
River is a pleasure to do anything with, she makes a rider feel very safe. She can be ridden by Novice riders but due to her education an intermediate rider is needed to get the best out of her.
She has three comfortable balanced and cadence paces and is very supple in the contact as well as easy to collect. She doesn't need working down. Has done a variety of things.
Besides dressage being her main focus she has done:
trail riding, low level jumping up to 70cm, endurance rides, she go’s through water, good with motorbikes has been on the walker and water treadmill with no fuss, has lived at Willinga Park for the first 6 months of her riding career in the dressage barn while I was working for Brett Parbery, Float loads well, is good for the farrier, She is good to take out in groups and on her own, Leads of the buggy and loves people. Curious in nature. Has been out to competition and behaves at comps the same as at home. Good to stabled. Not a clingy horse.
River is an easy going competitive horse that has the most impeccable ground manners. Not a spooky horse, will always come to you in the paddock and likes cuddles.
River has occasionally jumped in as my beginners lunging lesson horse when needed, I have also used her as a school master lesson horse on occasion. She is great with nervous riders and will build your confidence at competitions.
Will only go to the best of homes - this is a very hard sale of a horse that couldn’t be more perfect.
