Sally is a beautiful rising 6yo 8/12/18 17hh approx (to be measured) Clydie X Warmblood mare.

Sally has predominately been bred and produced for showjumping to this point but has a good foundation of flat work under her belt. She was started in Sep 2022 then spelled to mature and brought back into work a year later to start doing a bit more work. She has competed Showjumping at Boneo, Orbost Ag and Maffra Ag rounds up to 90cm.

Sally has had quite an extensive experience of outtings for her age! She has had a great range of exposure at different venues for showjumping comps and has been exceptionally well behaved for a young horse. She can have a general look around when she arrives at a new place but settles very well and always tries hard to do whats asked of her. She loads and travels well (truck and float) and has been fuss-free and bold in the warm up and the ring.

On the flat, Sally has solid basics established but she is still learning of course. She maintains a good rhythm but tends to be more woah than go. She is relatively supple through the ribs both ways and is naturally good over the back. She has started working in a nice little outline and is very comfortable to sit on and shows good adjustability, scope and balance in the canter already. She has commenced very basic lateral work and is working towards a prelim dressage level.

Although Sally is a big girl, she doesn't feel huge to ride at all and has good body awareness and balance for a taller young horse. She has good ground cover in both canter and trot but is also showing a lot of talent for collection with a good active hind leg which helps to shorten/ adjust and balance her and suggests she will be capable of producing some pretty amazing work when she has the time and training to strengthen these natural abilities! She has a clear 4 beat walk, a regular swingy trot and a super exciting, scope canter.

We have found Sally to be an absolute dream to handle. She is an absolute sweet heart and loves attention and being involved with everything going on! She is a pleasure to be around, loves people and is friendly to all her horsey neighbours. She isn't phased if she's stabled, yarded or paddocked, she just loves having a job to do and has consistently been a very enjoyable horse to handle and be around.

Sally loves to jump and she is super talented! She has the best attitude towards it and although she enjoys it, she doesn't tend to get hot or fizzy. She is very bold and already finds 80-90cm so natural and easy to pop around. She maintains a great independent rhythm to a fence, listens to half-halts and makes a great shape over a fence with a tidy technique. Although she isn't a world-beater jumper she definitely shows potential to step up and jump some big tracks with further education in the not so distant future.

Sally has a really stand out temperament and will be the most wonderful best friend for her new family. Although she's unlikely to be super speedy XC she has the right attitude to make a fantastic eventer/PC/HRCAV allrounder or is versatile and talented enough to be competitive straight dressage/SJ. She loves trail riding, and has been very sensible on a hack out.

She would make a great first young horse for a competent rider looking for that experience with the guidance of a good coach/trainer and an amazing long term partner for an ambitious rider looking for that special friend and partner.
