Roses is an incredibly talents, big moving, purebred Trakehner Verband Premium Mare who has it all.
She has all of the corret biomechanics and ability to reach the top of the sport with the right rider.
Roses has extensive competition experiene in dressage, jumping and eventing, having competed up to elementary level in dressage, 115cm in showjumping and 1* eventing. More recently her focus has been on Para Dressage, with her rider competing her in FEI 3* Grade 5 Para Dressage with fantastic results. Never has Roses come home from a compeittion without a placing!
In early 2019 Roses was awarded Premium Mare status from the Trakehner Verband in Germany for her outstanding performances as a 4yo in Young Horse Classes, Dressage and Eventing, being the first horse in Australia to have ever been granted this elite status and through this process, with mares usually being awared Premium status at their performance test in Germany.
Roses is currently training all of the medium work and is showing huge capability to climb the dressage levels. She has a fantastic forward thinking nature and work ethic, with three correct and impressive big paces. Roses is very light in the contact and off the leg she is a straight forward, uncomplicated ride with no vices.
Roses is a horse that you never have to lunge before you ride her. She can have one week off or 4 months off and you can just get straight back on her and into her work.
Roses truly is a rare find. Apart from being such a talented competition horse she also has a wonderful attitude towards life, being able to adapt to her rider whether they are a professional rider, AOR, young or junior rider, a complete beginner or para rider (having had a Grade 2 rider who is paraplegic ride her with ease). She's not horse shy and isn't phased by tractors, machinery, motorbikes etc. She is happy to go for a hack out (in a group or by herself), has previously been to the beach and loved it, she gets ridden bareback with just a halter and lead rope when bringing her in from the paddock to ride and she has lovely ground manners, walking along side you at the end of the lead rope and matching the pace you walk at. She is very easy for the farrier, happy to just stand there quietly, and self-loads onto the float.
Roses is a strong and healthy horse and has never had a lame day in her life. She does have a large scar on the right side of her rump which she did at 8 months old and is cosmetic only, not muscle was damaged and it does not affect her in any way at all.
Roses has had her own in foal in 2020 using frozen semen, going in foal first time and having a very easy and uncomplicated pregnancy and birth, producing an outstanding colt (Stolzenherz, who can also be seen on our website). Once her foal was weaned Roses started under saddle again, just getting straight back on her with no lunging required.
Roses would suit anybody, any age with any riding skill wanting a serious and safe competitive mount.
