Ferdi is of exceptional quality, with a superb temperament to match. He is honest, kind hearted and a pleasure to have around – very much a people person who loves to be involved in anything happening around the farm. He oozes quality and ability, and has all it takes to compete at the top level, whether it be dressage, eventing or showjumping.

Ferdi was lightly backed as a 2yo and then turned out to mature and grow. During this time, he showed a willing attitude, happily going out on a few trails and around bison. He will require re-starting due to the time since last ridden, though has a great foundation to build upon. Ferdi has a solid foundation in his ground work. He moves off light pressure, including shoulders, hindquarters, backing up, moving forward and dropping poll. Ferdi safely ties up. He is learning to lunge (very lightly as still only 2.5yo) and is great for the farrier (never shod and had solid, quality hooves). Ferdi is familiar with farm machinery including tractors, quad bikes and buggy. He is used to push bikes riding around, soccer balls and life with a family.

Ferdi is happy to load and travel in the float. Has also been on a truck and travels like a dream. Ferdi is brave in nature, approaching ‘scary’ things to investigate, rather than run away. Ferdi has unlimited potential in dressage, eventing and jumping.

Ferdi is by Riverside (imp/dec) out of Connie (xx). Riverside was premium licensed at the 2002 Hanovarian Stallion Licensing in Verden and approved for Oldenberg and Westfalen in 2003. He scored an index of 133.8 points, with 138.53 for dressage and 10.40 for dressage. Riverside placed 14 th at the 6yo finals at the World Young Horse Championships in 2006. Riverside has a number of quality offspring, including Kasheer competing at CCI 4* and the NZ based Jembrae Rattle n Hum at small tour. Although not currently registered, Ferdi is able to be Hanovarian registered via DNA. Dam line details being obtained, include jumping lines.

Ferdi is microchipped, and up to date with worming and vaccinations (not Hendra vaccinated). For sale by no fault of his own. Due to change in circumstances, owner health and young rider currently focused on current competitive horse and school studies, with aspirations to be a veterinarian (so a lot of time spent studying), unfortunately we do not have the time to bring Ferdi on in his future competitive career.
