For sale as a broodmare only reasonably priced to meet the current flat market. May consider a Broodmare lease to a qualified home, this would be a paid lease.
Regretful and sad sale of my last home bred. My work/business commitments take up most of my time and I am no longer in the horse breeding game.
Flo has enjoyed a super successful competition career, highlights including:
- Champion | 4yo NSW Young Horse Championship Final at the 2022 Sydney CDI
- Top 10 | 5yo Australian Young Horse Dressage Championships
- Score highlights of 84% 4yo YH, 79.6% 5yo YH, 75% Official Novice, 72.4% Official Prelim.
Since birth Flo has been professionally raised, managed and produced but for Flo, life in a professional Dressage barn is not her jam. Dressage wise, Flo is consolidated in all the Medium work and has changes down to 2 times. Flo has been jumping and went super, displaying great form and boldness over a professional jump course. Flo is the epitome of a chestnut mare, opinionated, super smart, she lets you know how she feels and what she is to thinking. In saying that she is not mareish when in season, but she can be like that ‘annoying sister’ that is always on the go, into everything within her reach, but does genuinely want to be friends with other horses and humans. Flo does itch during the Summer and requires sand maintenance.
Flo’s high performance pedigree makes her a significant addition to a Sport Horse breeding program, she has never been bred but it fit and healthy ready to breed right now to carry or as an embryo donor mare. With Sezuan being gelded a couple of years ago, frozen semen is scarce therefore limiting the number of Sezuan progeny available.
Flo's sire, Sezuan was licensed in Denmark in 2012 where he was awarded scores never given before including ten scores of 10 that put him on the world stage. Sezuan, ridden by Dorothee Schneider (GER) was triple World Young Horse Champion, winning titles in 2014,2015 and 2016. Sezuan continued his career at international Small Tour with scores above the magical 80% mark before being gelded and enjoyed as a riding horse by his owner. Sezuan made his debut as a sire of Olympians with Wendy, ridden by Isabell Werth being part of the Gold Medal winning GER team and also won the individual silver medal.
Flo's dam, Qursed is by the late German stallion sensation Quaterback, out of Prm Broadway Waterford, by Weltmeyer. A picture of elegance with expressive movement, during her highly decorated show career Qursed amassed a long list of achievements including championships at EA NSW Horse of the Year, Sydney Royal Easter Show, East Coast Arabian Champion of Champions and multiple Australian National Arabian Championships. In the Mare Classification with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association, Qursed was graded into the Head Studbook with a score of 84.50%. Qursed is also a Premium Mare Candidate in the Hanoverian Studbook recognised for her dual talent in Dressage and Jumping. Qursed's jumping talent was recognised being awarded the Australia Jumping Champion of the Hanoverian Mare Performance Test.
