VL Louis is by Redleaf Larrikin which has commence his showjumping career with David Cameron this year. Larrikin has already showed his quality running equal first on the 5yo Class at Waratah and making the Newcomers final @ the Gatton World Cup Show. Larrikin's sire Lux Z On the 2016/17 KWPN breeding values, Lux comes in =38th on the rankings of jumping stallions with a reliability of over 90%, with a jumping value of 126. Lux Z is by Lord Calando, his dam sire Ahorn Z competed internationally. Larrikin's dam Holland Rose was imported from France in 2005 and is by the prolific Quidam de Revel, and descends from one of the best dam lines in Europe. Holland Rose produced a licenced son in France, and two 1.45m horses Tresor D and Charming Rose. In Australian she has produced World Cup winner and sire Copabella Cadiz (Brooke Campbell), World Cup competitor Copabella Verdi (Talara Cameron), Mini Prix / Young Rider competitors Copabella Cashmir (Laura Sloey) and Copabella Voltage (Brooke Campbell), and two young Lux Z horses Copabella Luchia and Copabella Luxor. David Cameron then brought Holland Rose and has breed several young horses yet to compete including Larrikin. Holland Rose is by Quidam de Revel, Quidam de Revel was ranked #1 for two years in a row in the World Breeding rankings for jumper stallions and today is ranked 10th. In Australia Quidam de Revel is the sire of Brooke Langbecker's stallion Quintago, he is also the damsire of Stuart Jenkin's gelding Aliquidam and Russell Johnston’s very cute Daprice is a grandson of Quidam also. Holland Rose descends from the famous mareline of Jolie Rose. Holland Rose's granddam, Gold Rose (index 186) was as a 3 year old French Conformation Champion and she was in the French Showjumping Team from 1979 until 1982, during which time she won the Grand Prix of Paris and Madrid and became second in Lisbon, Barcelona and Hamburg. In addition Gold Rose produced two sons, that both became approved stallions Turban Rose in Sweden and legendary stallion Calvados in Holland. Gold Rose was sired by the great showjumper producer Ibrahim with 36 approved sons in France, including the legendary Alme. Great Granddam of Holland Rose was the unique mare Jolie Rose, who became very famous by producing 6 international showjumpers including: All Rose, Dall Rose, Gold Rose, La Rose II. She also produced the approved stallions Irminio and Joly Jumper. VL Louis's dam is Parkview Julia which is by Close Encounter which competed at Grand Prix in Australia and from Parkview Rapunzel (ASB registered Anvil's Gold) which is also the dam of the Horse Magazines stallion of 2004 and World Cup Competitor Parkview Junebug (by Dusky Hunter), which competed successfully with Jeremy Inglis. Junebug is also the sire of 2016/17 FEI World Cup Jumping Australian League Series winner Emmaville Jitterbug, which has come back from injury to win the Golden Grand Trophy for best part one horse at Sydney Royal 2018. He also had a very successful tour of New Zealand, winning The Silver Fern Stakes and placing second in the Olympic Cup at the New Zealand Horse of the year show. Parkview Julia has produced many young horses, the eldest by Premier Des Hayettes, was sold overseas. She also has offspring by Sir Shutterfly and Last man Standing. We have a lovely 2 year old filly VL Cricket and yearling colt Hirocco Bug.
