*UPDATE July 6*!
The middle of a pandemic is clearly not an ideal time to be selling horses! Fitzroy has not yet found his new human due to no fault of his own. Unicorns are made, not born, and this cracking little horse is just waiting for the right small person (child or adult) to both benefit from the foundations that have been built and even take him closer to his potential. We've produced him as a junior allrounder but he could definitely go a lot further if someone was to concentrate on just one discipline. Here's a little more background info:
* He was selected as a green broken 4 year old to be the ultimate junior's allrounder. He was purpose bred, professionally broken in and then schooled by me (producer of multiple horses to four and five star eventing, advanced dressage and 130 SJ)
* His progression has been carefully managed so that he is able to be easily ridden and handled by a child
* His selection and continued health management has been overseen by a vet with 25 years of performance horse management (yes, we are lucky to have said vet as father/husband!!). We have no veterinary concerns, can provide a full health record and welcome any veterinary examination
We are in Victoria and I'm feeling a little pressure with either a lockdown or a return to the office imminent. We will struggle to keep him in work beyond a few more weeks so if he is not sold he will be taken off the market and turned out until the shows look like they are starting. For this reason, I am open to REASONABLE offers to the most PERFECT home. He is not available to an inexperienced home.
I've included a couple more videos to help provide a bit more insight into this little unicorn...check them out below.

Here's his original ad:
14.3 hand (unofficial), 9 year old purpose bred performance WB X. A stunning and talented athlete by World Cup star Finch Farm Chill (Contender), out of a riding pony. Fitzroy has inherited all the talent, work ethic and willingness to please of his father.
Very carefully produced, Fitzroy is a lovely character and a joy to ride and own. He is stunning, supple and balanced, capable of jumping a very big fence as well as being soft and easy to ride on the flat, with beautiful paces. The judges love him, he makes you feel like you can really ride as he is just so nice on the flat, his rider can concentrate on their own position. He has the most perfect bascule and feels just like a quality 16hh performance horse to ride. The showies tell me he would be very competitive in the show ring but it is just not our thing :)
Fitzroy has been exposed to everything, happily participating in pony club and interschool activities from the time he was four, ridden by a 10 year old. He is extremely talented and has been produced with a professional approach, he really is in a league of his own for a horse this height. Has happily schooled over 2* fences and scored up to 70% in official EA dressage. He went straight out and came second in his first EA80 with a 12 year old in open, professional company however, due to being a bit of an overachiever, his true talent lies in show jumping or dressage. He would just love to be someone’s junior jumper and who knows how far he could get in the dressage ring with his soft, balanced and expressive paces. He has competed up to 1.10m, hates to touch rails and has been consistently placed in open company – we have concentrated on his training and correct foundations so he has never really been pushed in a jump off, he is now more than ready to be super competitive. He has been schooled up to 1.30m at home, finding it easy.
Although he has been ridden by a child, his training has always been overseen by an experienced adult so he is not your typical kids’ pony. He is really correct and lovely to ride and has been complimented by top national and international coaches. He is athletic and does what he is asked so he is not for a kid that doesn’t have an independent seat and knows the correct aids. He would really shine in a knowledgeable home with access to professional coaching.
We are devastated to sell this boy as he has been a part of our family since he was green broken. He is a funny character, wants to be in your pocket all the time and loves to play. He has no vices but he is athletic, never hot but is aware of his surroundings so needs some direction. He has no dirt whatsoever, he really wants to do the right thing. Very, very sad sale and we are very invested in finding him the perfect home. It is the perfect opportunity to get him now and establish a partnership so you (or your child) are ready to go when the shows start again.
