Charlie is a well mannered and polite horse who has always been adored.
I’ve owned Charlie for a year and a half. Prior to that he had very little education on the flat and no education jumping making him extremely green at the time of his purchase.
Since purchase, he’s been taken out to showjumping and eventing competitions, outings and schooling.
In March 2020, I moved over to NSW and took Charlie across Australia with me to continue his training. He was schooled on the flat for 3 months by an Olympian, and coached on the ground with the show jumping and cross country phase. He knows his flying changes, shoulder ins, walk to canter transitions. Smooth upward and downward transitions and a rocking chair like canter.
He is a nice mover. Pre Covid and Olympian schooling, Charlie was scoring high 70s in the his dressage tests back in Perth.
He has competed 80cm eventing and schooled 95cm.
Additionally he has jumped 1.10m at home and is full of potential however myself as a rider is holding him back and struggling with time to continue this talented horses.
Charlie is a sensitive horse but aims to please.
Does not have a bad bone in his body. He is not suitable for a beginner and needs to go to someone whom is confident and experienced to continue bringing out the best in him.
He is still green within his jumping phase but tries his heart out. He relies on his rider for guidance and encouragement.
He is currently shod and up to date with worming.
Easy to catch (walks up to the gate), tie (stands still and no fuss) worm, take out to events (staying overnight away from home) and good for the farrier. Charlie walks straight on trucks and angle load floats. He can be a little hesitant to walk on a straight loader. Once in, he is good to float.
Will only be sold to the very best of homes and to an experienced rider.
