Bailey is a “been there done that” kind of pony! Having absolutely no issues under saddle (no buck/bolt/rear/etc), he is an extremely fun pony to ride! He has established laterals including leg yields, shoulder in, etc. Walk canters are a breeze. And we’ve even found a sneaky flying change! he is light to the aids and works consistently in a frame - walk, trot and canter. He has had many outings throughout his riding career including dressage series, stockman challenges, private lessons, adult riders rallies and pony club rallies where he always behaves perfectly and poses no issues. He floats well, ties up easily and settles into a new location like he has been there a hundred times already!
While Bailey is an exceptional pony under saddle he can be sensitive on the ground. He is always well mannered and never the horse to walk over you, just can be touchy around the ears and nose, where he may overreact at times. With frequent work this improves, but is unlikely to go away completely. Because of this slight sensitivity, Bailey will NOT be sold to a beginner. He would suit a kind, empathetic, capable rider who is looking to compete and move up the grades on a very well educated pony. Do not be put off by his quirks! Bailey comes with some gear. Home is absolutely non-negotiable, he will only be sold to the very best of homes who’s willing to understand his quirks and bring the best out of him under saddle.
