We have owned Patrick for nearly 2 years and he has been left to mature before starting under saddle and is now ready crack on with!
Patrick has been under saddle for appx 8 weeks and has been an absolute pleasure! He is working competently at Prelim level on the flat and is a soft, uncomplicated ride. Pat has huge, active paces with lovely expression. He is a solid boy who takes up the leg well. This, with his forward paces, makes him ride like a larger horse.
Patrick has begun his jumping education and is showing plenty of enthusiasm, he really enjoys it! He is confident to trot over single jumps and go through a grid.
Patrick has been off property to a local venue and has been a pleasure to take out each time. He is confident and happy to explore a large open space.
Pat is straightforward to ride and is light and responsive off the aids. He really tries hard to please his rider and therefore is just a pleasure to work with everyday. We want to stress that Patrick is incredibly trainable and shows all the signs of being able to progress rapidly in his education.
Patrick is easy to do anything with and is a pleasure to have around. We put a lot of groundwork into our horses and Pat is absolutely great to handle from the ground. He is the complete package of looks, talent and just the sweetest nature.
Due to his experience level (only 8 weeks under saddle), he would be best suited to a rider capable of continuing his education. That said, he may be suitable for the right young rider (with relevant experience) who has the support to continue with Pat's education.
