Shaun is a 2yo welsh buckskin gelding, who should mature at around 12.2hh, currently 11.3hh. Dam and Sire were both royal show winners, but breeder never had progeny registered. We bought Shaun for company for our big17hh W/B, at the time Shaun was an untouched yearling. After catching him, floating him home, handling him everyday he is now one of the most loveable ponies we have ever owned. He has been dragged around like a puppy on the lead by kids and has been faultless. After hand feeding all our horses for over 12 months, we are now running extremely low of paddock water. So we have had to make some tough decisions about reducing numbers. We were hoping to keep Shaun to use for my nieces and nephews, but due to the ongoing dry conditions, we have been left with no option but to offer him for sale. Shaun has been floated without any drama, stabled at night and is fine to pick up his feet/trim, lead around like a dog or tie up anywhere (he will stand there for hours until you return, no pawing or pulling back). He had a few sessions of ground work earlier in the year and has just been broken in without forgetting one thing. He is happy to have the stock whip cracked all around him, walks over pastic, stops with a whoa and goes with a click. He really is a fantasic sensible student, loves kids and is just a pleasure in every way. A sweet natured little fella, that can be a bit warey of strangers (seems to be mostly men) from time to time, but has never once kicked, bitten, bucked or reared or ever given me the indication that he was even thinking of it. Happy to go trail riding all on his own, even the first time he was asked to canter, he just popped into it. You can leave him a few days and he just walks off like he was worked the day before. I am certain that he does not have a nasty, dirty or aggressive bone in his body. And if I didn't know better I would say he had already been broken in, he was just that easy and excepting of everything that was expected of him. Been ridden out in the open and down the road within his first three rides, with the dogs and through water!!! Unfortaunately my daughters legs are almost dragging on the ground whilst riding him, a shame that he is not 17hh. He is a family favourite and now that he is broken in we are certain that he will be a cracker kids pony, a superstar in the making is what I keep saying!!! He has a great attitude to life and loves attention. Great with other horses and also happy on his own (he has been a fantastic chaperone for our big horse, never causing a fuss). This special little man has all the atributes desirable to make a valuable addition to any family. We think in the short term (due to his age) Shaun would be a great 1st project for a keen child to bring along or for someone to use at PC as a lead rein. Already ridden by 6yo beginner independently, he just showed us how amazing he really is. Shaun will be lent to a beginner 8yo rider if not sold soon. Asking $2800
