Charlie A.K.A King Napolean
Charlie is a chestnut flaxen Gelding Welsh Pony, he is 13.2 hands (officially measured at Sydney royal) and 8 years old.
Would be the best second horse for a preteen/teen to love and learn on. He has been a wonderful pony for my daughter over the last 4 1/2 years, she has done all the work and taught this once green pony everything he knows. She first started teaching him at age 10. He has competed in various pony club, dressage, inter-schools and ODE competitions. As well as competing for zone in the 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show, in Teams, Pairs and Rider class. Charlie is the perfect all-rounder, he regularly jumped D grade at pony club, and occasionally jumped C/B on non-competitive rally days. He thrives off jumping and would make an awesome eventing/cross country pony but I did not have the nerve for it with my daughter riding.
Charlie would be the ideal and perfect Dressage pony with further experience, my daughter competed at a handful of dressage events and because of his grounded & balanced paces, boldness & ‘look at me’ appearance, he scored exceptionally high for a beginner.
He has three beautiful paces and listens well to voice and leg aids. Charlie is fine with other horses, and all animals. He is wonderful to float, catch, wash, clip, lunge and shod. He picks up new skills very quickly and is the most affectionate horse we have had. The only issue is he can be cold backed but is fine with a quick lunge to warm his muscles up. He has no buck, kick or bite.
We are only selling him due to my daughters progress in representative soccer, otherwise, we would not sell him! He can only go to the best of homes with a family who is willing to love him just as much as we do. I have lots of videos available please make contact and I am happy to send or make contact to arrange a viewing. He is bred at Amaranda welsh pony stud and is available for welsh registration but we never did with our journey with him.
