Fawkes aka “Prominence" is a purebred Whaler gelding 4yo (May 2019). Currently 15.1 but may still grow a little bit. Fawkes has been paddocked alone and in a herd with 5 other horses. He was becoming boss in the herd as he gets more confident in himself. He is not a fussy eater, and seems to be a good doer. He has been great for the farrier, to paste, worm, groom and tack up. He has only just commenced jumping, and seems straight forward enough popping over little cavalettis and small jumps.

Fawkes is still green and is approaching a basic prelim dressage level and has commenced basic yeilding etc. He maintains a good rhythm (not too forward or too dull), he is easy in the contact, tries extremely hard to please and is super willing. He is developing to be more supple/bend through ribs both ways and understands the basics of halt-halts and learning inside leg to outside rein.

Fawkes has been very well behaved out on trail rides in the open with a group. He has been on short solo hack outs and was very well behaved with a nervous rider. He has enjoyed PC/ARC rallies and attended weekly lessons since being purchased in September by his current owners. Fawkes was broken in 8 months ago and has since been to pony club, and a show where he even won a few ribbons! At his first shows he was a little bit excited but settled well and behaved very well.

We have found Fawkes to be a beautiful, genuine boy to handle, He is very good at the stables, yards, in the paddock and we have found him to possess a very calm disposition for a young horse. He is very friendly and loves people, so is very easy to catch, tack up etc as he really just enjoys spending time with humans!

Although Fawkes is only a baby, he has been out and about a little bit already! Although still a little unsure at times, He is a good floater and has successfully floated alone and with a friend although he has only been in an angle load so far. On his outtings he has been very sensible, and consistent, with his behaviour remaining pretty well the same as it is at home bar a little initial curiosity/excitement.
Fawkes is a really lovely young horse with so much to offer his next family. He is for sale for genuine reasons as his current rider is only learning herself, and although her and Fawkes have been doing an amazing job together she has been encouraged to encouraged to find a schoolmaster type to show her the ropes before bringing on a young horse. This being said Fawkes in genuine enough for an ambitious novice plus rider to produce with guidance, patience and time and they will be rewarded with a very lovely, talented competetive performance allrounder in the future. He would be a wonderful first young horse to produce and train for someone looking for that experience as he is simply so genuine, and really wants to do the right thing. We are looking forward to finding Fawkes his new best friend and seeing all they achieve together in the future!
