Theses Spa’s are fantastic at managing and rehabilitating injuries in racing and performance horses. The ECB spa is sold all over the world and they cost over $60k new. Ours is an earlier model but it still functions the same. It is fitted with a chiller unit which will drop the water temperature to 1 degree. It came with the property when we purchased it. We have used it for our own jumping horses and it is in good condition. New pump was fitted last year. It has four lifting points enabling it to be easily removed and reinstalled. We have equipment here load it onto transport. It runs off two standard 240v 15a power points. Check them out on the internet. There is plenty of literature explaining how they work and the benefits. Simple to use. It is a walkthrough design. The pumps, filters and tanks are self contained within the unit. The chiller unit is external and sits alongside the machine. The chiller unit cycles the water in the tank reducing the temperature down to 1 degree. You walk the horse in through the rear door and close it. The water then fills from its own self contained tanks. When the water gets to the desired height, which can be the full height of the machine, (just above the knee or to their wither) you aerate the water. It is great on those hard to ice areas such as hocks, stifles and shoulders. When the treatment is finished, typically 20 mins the water pumps back into the built-in self-contained tanks. You open the front door and the horse walks out. Far better than icing because the weight of the water acts as a compression bandage. It quickly takes the swelling out of their legs. The horses like the machine, and we have had some horses that actually drag us in there for treatment. Ours is designed to be built into the concrete so it is easy to walk them in. It could be mounted on top of the floor but would just need a ramp.
