Matins aka Celtic Matins 12 yrs old. DOB 24.10.2011 15.2 hh Sire: Celtic De Derum - Connemara Dam: possum - Thoroughbred.

Started as a 3yo, he has focused on dressage, showjumping, trail riding and a little cross country here and there! He has attended clinics, and lessons and adult riding club and enjoys getting out and about!

He has been to Show Jumping monthly training where he got ribbons, and has done dressage at Lancefield and been to Boneo a couple of times. 8th at Lancefield and got ribbons for 3rd and 4th at SJ. At shows, he has always been well behaved, happy to tie at the float, good in the warm up ring. He can be a little looky at shows but settles into his job well.

Matins is a really lovely boy and an adorable little type! He's very eye-catching, with above average paces! He has a super active walk, a rhythmic trot with good swing and a forward moving canter with good ground cover, although he needs a little more bend at times.

On the flat, Matins is very consistent in the rhythm, he is more woah than go but easy to stop and doesn't feel hot. He is responsive to the hand and leg and has good basics. He is relatively supple and even both ways nut could use more bend at times especially in the canter. He is good over the back and works softly in the hand. He is straight forward to ride, and suitable for a range of riders!

We have found Matins to be generally very easy to have around! He has a really sweet nature, has good ground manners with a pretty chilled personality! His owners have found his very good to clip, catch, worm, tack up, farrier etc

We have found Matins to be cruisy to jump. He seems to like to mix up his daily work with a variety of different things and is currently schooling around 80cm. He has been bold and straight forward to jump with us, and easy to maintain a nice rhythm on.

Matins is a very rare find, and a special little package! With a really cute personaity and good work ethic. He is very loved and this is a hard decision for his owners made only due to rider's time constraints. A wonderful, versatile allrounder type that will make his next rider very happy! He is best suited to a novice + level rider.
