Packard Lodge Timba King King is a lovely, big, pure black ASH gelding (reg 256666), out of a camp draft HSH mare ‘Emmeness Bell’, with Elliotts Creek Cadet, Abbey, and Abdul all in her breeding. Knights Nicolas and Warrenbri Romeo are on the sire's side. King stands at 15.3 1/2hh. Rising 5yo (DOB 5/8/2019). This beautiful boy is elegant, has a lovely way of going, and a presence that adds to the package. His groundwork is perfect, very respectful, and easy to do anything with on the ground; King is like a statue for the entire session of groundwork, every time!!! Not even raising his head for the umbrella, stock whip, plastic bag, or the big ball all around him. Pull him out of the paddock and load him on the side of the road and he never hesitates to walk straight on the float. You can throw the rug on him in the middle of a storm and he will not move a muscle. King can be a little standoffish with strangers, but is a cuddly, personable horse when he trusts you, and will be the first one to trot up to you in the paddock. I originally bought King as a yearling, for my daughter to do ASH showing events on, however with full-time Uni and 3 other big warmbloods to concentrate on, King has been left in the paddock. He did injure the bulb on his offside front hoof just as we were breaking him as a 2yo, so we gave him 6 months off for that to heal properly. He has never had any issues with injury since it happened and it has been assessed by a vet to confirm it is sound, it is a bit ugly but can be camouflaged with a bit of black makeup for showing. After he healed we just got busy and he was put out in the paddock again. King has just come in for a session of work, currently working in English attire, but can do stockhorse turns, etc. We need to reduce numbers as we now have over 30 horses. So, we have decided to put him on the market as my daughter finished Uni in 2023 and will be starting full-time work in the new year. If King is not sold soon, he will have another spell and come in again later in the year. This is a very stylish and athletic horse, King will only be sold to a knowledgeable home as he can be a bit sensitive with some things; He will not suit everyone but if you have the time, kindness, and desire this horse will reward you in spades. Obviously, due to his age and stage of training, he will need further education, but the basics are all done and he is a very well-started boy. 100% sound, vet check welcome. Asking $7500 ONO which we think is a very fair price for this stunning boy. Phone 0437 431633.
