Charlie is a fabulous 15 year old, 14.3hh registered stock horse gelding by the Glencoe Heartbeat. He represents the best of his breed - he is responsive and intelligent; agile and hardworking; he is suitable for various disciplines.

Education, skills and experience: Charlie has competed at agricultural shows, been to pony club, jumped up to 75cm, attended horsemanship clinics, been trail ridden and campdrafted. He is responsive and enjoys a variety of work.

General demeanor under saddle: Charlie is described as willing and responsive. He is soft and 'light' in the bridle and willingly 'collects'. He is brave and unflappable, with no spook. Charlie can get a little strong and forward, due to his willingness to work. Once ‘checked’ he relaxes and works more calmly.

Current workload/ fitness: Charlie is currently in work, being ridden 3 times a week.

Handling: Charlie is safe and easy to handle - to catch, trim (currently happy barefoot), wash, saddle and load. He self loads or loads into float/ truck very easily, stands quietly when traveling, and unloads calmly.

Behaviour: Charlie is affectionate and is an absolute pleasure to have around. He has a great work ethic and is happiest when consistently being ridden. Charlie does not have any dirt or vices. 

Feeding and management: Charlie is currently fed hay.

Medical history: Charlie does not have any medical issues.

Rider Suitability: Charlie would be suitable for a capable and confident junior or smaller adult rider. He is tolerant of novice rider mistakes as long as the rider is confident and not tense. 

Reason for sale: Charlie is very reluctantly for sale because his owner has other horses in work and does not have the time to ride him.
