Brookdale Cricket, is 15 year old 15.3hh, bay Stock Horse Gelding (unregistered) with perfect conformation. He is a very elegant gentleman, and after 3 years with his current owner he is looking for a new home. Cricket has been the perfect first hack for his then 13-year-old rider. He has taken her through Pony Club and started competitions at PC and Interschools. Cricket has also been successful at local ag shows and always comes home with a neck full of ribbons. He has scored well in all his dressage tests, always in the high 60s and 70s, which his current owner is very proud of. Cricket has also competed in Team penning events for a bit of fun, he doesn't see much cow work, but would be a handy horse around cattle if he had a bit more exposure. He has an amazing front and would be a very competitive first hack for a child rider, always calm and happy to comply. Cricket gives an easy ride, has a soft mouth and three lovely paces. He is probably more whoa than go, but he can go when asked. He has been ridden and handled by a 13-16 year old girl for the past three years; he has also been kept away at boarding school, so he is used to a lot of activity around him. Cricket is also great in the water, he enjoys swimming in the lake or the dam, he also enjoys and is confident around show jumping and x country (has competed up to 80cm). He is great to trail ride by himself or with other horses, good to shoe/trim, clip, float and truck. He has been used to lead ponies or young ones off and he is great for this job too. Cricket is a loving, sweet horse that has been there done that. He is easy to get out of the paddock and go do anything, with no worries, he is great around farm machinery and dogs. Cricket would suit a confident young teenager or adult rider.
