With an extremely heavy heart, I am looking for the perfect home for my beloved DJ.

Highplains Centurion (DJ) is a 13-year-old, 15.1h Australian Stock Horse with outstanding bloodlines—his sire being the well-respected Ilalong Talisman. Originally from a cutting and camp drafting background, DJ has exceptional brakes and movement

Since being with me, he has trained in low-level dressage and competed in show jumping up to 70cm, schooling 1.05m at home. He has attended competitions, show jumping days, show horse events, pony club, and trail rides. However, a competitive showjumping home is not suitable for him.

DJ is an experienced traveler, loads onto any float with ease, and will happily stand tied up all day. While he is a dream to handle in many ways—easy to bath, clip, groom, and tack up—he does have some quirks that I’m happy to discuss with serious inquiries. He is best suited for a confident rider as he can be forward and fresh at times.

He is barefoot and receives regular massages to keep him feeling his best. In 2020, he recovered from a psoas muscle injury after a year of intensive rehab. This does not affect his everyday riding, but high-level jumping is not ideal for him.

DJ would thrive in a home that enjoys pony club, dressage, and trail riding. Finding him a loving, five-star home is my top priority.
