Proven broodmare for sale; Frida is an 11yo, 16hh grey Irish Sport Horse with exceptional eventing and jumping lineage.
Due to an annular ligament injury, she was retired from being a ridden horse and has had her first foal (born 6/12/21). She’s produced a beautiful filly following a complication free pregnancy, and has been an excellent first time mum.
Under saddle, Frida - registered name, ’Thank God It’s Friday’ - was a true athlete with a beautiful back, good paces and an exceptional jump. Her competitive career was cut short due to me making the choice to stop riding competitively when she was a 6yo, but in her time out and about she almost always came home with a ribbon.
Frida’s sire is Kirby Park Irish Friday, a close relative of Megan Jones’ Beijing Olympics mount, KPI Jester, one of the most successful Australian Eventing Horses of his time. KPI Friday carries a double cross of the great jumping lines of Souvenir. KPI Friday’s dam, WP Ebony, also carries CCI***** eventing and Inter 1 dressage lines. Frida’s dam, Ellesmere Poppy was by Woodmount Carrick who competed up to the old CCI** eventing and A Grade Show Jumping. Poppy was Tasmanian Dressage Horse of the Year as a 4yo and took me from being a nervous grade 4 PCAV rider to being ready to go EA 2**, and show jumped at home up to 130cm.
Due to her injury, Frida is only offered for sale as a broodmare. Her filly has just been weaned off, and she is available for sale now, in preparation for the breeding season ahead.
