RegistrationsWoodleigh Lizst - Spot - is a kind, handsome and talented schoolmaster by Licosto. Any capable teen, amateur or professional rider would be lucky to have him in their stable!
Education and competition history: Spot is beautiful enough for the show ring AND he is straightforward to ride on the flat. He is training elementary level dressage with flying changes and lateral work. He has competed to Novice level with scores of 69%.
Spot is a truly honest showjumper. He can be relied upon to take off and jump EVERY SINGLE JUMP. Spot has successfully competed up to 1.30 with many current placings to 125. When ridden by a capable rider, he is soft, adjustable and straightforward to compete.
Spot has happily competed at all of the big venues and is completely unconcerned about the noise and chaos of Ag Shows or the crazy fill at Boneo and Werribee. He is 100% safe to ride and handle and is vice free. He is not fazed by a busy environment or loud noises but he doesn’t like torches or wide brim hats! Spot will happily trail ride all day and is well exposed to traffic, livestock and busy stable yards.
Medical: Spot is straightforward to handle, self loads into the truck/ float and is easy to shoe. He has never been vet checked or xrayed, as he has been with the same owner since he was a foal. He is 100% sound and always has been. He is fed 4cyte, as are all the owner’s horses, as a preventative.
Spot has a history of occasionally kicking out (for joy!) when he does a flying change but if ridden into the bridle and in front of the leg, this is minimal and rare. Late last year, he showed a small amount of tightness in his back and his sacroiliac region was medicated. Since then, he has rarely kicked out.
Behaviour and handling: Spot is an absolute delight in every way! He is kind and calm to handle and manage - everyone’s favourite, a harmless soul who wouldn’t hurt a fly. He is safe after a spell - when you hop back on, it is like he was ridden yesterday. He is the horse you pull out for the ‘friend who stopped riding five years ago to have kids’ to go for a trail ride. In saying this, he is a big, forward and powerful horse. He would not suit a child/ younger teen or an inexperienced or nervous rider to compete.
Reason for sale and home that we are looking for: Spot is looking for a showjumping, dressage or eventing home that will love and appreciate him. He is very sadly for sale as his owner/ rider is concentrating on bringing on her younger horses If you are looking for a safe, well educated and talented horse - Spot is the perfect choice!
