Registered Quarter Horse Gelding - Candy For A Texan AKA Candyman

Candyman is a solid liver chestnut 8-year-old, 15hh registered Quarter Horse gelding. I’ve owned him since he was 3 years old and have used him to teach both my children to ride on the lunge. My now 8-year-old daughter has ridden him at pony club, gymkhanas, and sporting days, where he was well-behaved and reliable. While Candyman is quiet in many situations, he requires a knowledgeable rider who can get the best out of him.

Bred for Western Pleasure, Candyman has the natural conformation for it, although I have not pursued this discipline with him. He’s a “no-fuss” horse who is happy to be left for weeks and then ridden without needing to be lunged. However, if not properly ridden, he can be lazy and will try to get out of work.

I wish I could keep them all however I'm selling Candyman as he’s not quite the right fit for my family’s current goals. He’s not forward enough or interested in jumping to meet my needs, and while he’s done well in local competitions with my daughter, I’m looking for a more competitive horse that suits our future goals.
