5yo | 16hh | OTTB gelding by Merchant Navy out of Tomelilla Tommy retired from racing in February 2025 and was given a proper let-down before beginning retraining in mid-July with professional rider Tara Sheridan and is now based with 5* Eventing rider Hazel Shannon

He recently stepped up to a big atmosphere at Equimillion, where he placed 3rd in the New Star Dressage class with scores above 65%, taking everything in stride with his usual sweet, level-headed nature. He has also been to a few low-key dressage and jumping outings, all of which he handled calmly and confidently.

Tommy is currently schooling up to 95cm show jumping and has a good foundation of flatwork. He’s a kind, uncomplicated horse with a great work ethic and a genuinely trainable brain. He’s easy to catch, shoe, and float, and is great to handle both at home and out.

Tommy has no known vices and continues to impress with his soft, easy-going nature and willingness to learn. He’s not a top-level prospect, but would make a lovely, reliable all-rounder for a competent teen or amateur rider, with potential for dressage, show jumping, eventing, or pony club.
