Monty finished racing in June 2025 and then went on to JW equestrian for a short period of time before I picked him up. Whilst he was there he was exposed to a couple of trail rides and flat work in the arena.

Monty is currently out of work, and has been for roughly 8 weeks, he’s letting down nicely.

He’s a sweet and very smart boy who needs and does well with routine!

He is willing and responsive to voice ques on the lunge. This little guy loves having a job to do!

He gives a really nice feeling under saddle, the times I have ridden him he’s been willing, responsive and respectful. Although, he’s still learning and needs a rider that is able to continue his education.

He has been exposed to a couple of day clinics (not ridden) just to get used to the environments with low pressure and improves every time.

Good to float, shoe and wash. He’s only recently been transitioned to barefoot.

Can be paddocked alone or with other horses.

He’s green and an OTTB and would be best suited to an intermediate rider. He needs someone that understands OTTB.

Unfortunately, I have recently been diagnosed with a significant lower back injury (non riding related) and am looking at a 6-12 month recovery. Therefore, the big plans I had for this little guy are no longer possible.

Monty deserves a home where he will be loved, educated and happy!
