2011 Gallery Equine Grand National Championships

On 15 - 17 April 2011, the Show Horse Council of Australasia Inc, is hosting the prestigious Grand National Championships, which will be held at the Indoor Arena, Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park NSW.

 

All horses need to have qualified previously to be eligible to enter and classes include Small & Large Saddle Horse, Small Saddle Galloway, Large Saddle Galloway, Large Saddle Pony, Small Saddle Pony, Leading Rein Pony, Large Show Hunter Hack, Small Show Hunter Hack, Large Show Hunter Galloway, Small Show Hunter Galloway, Large Show Hunter Pony as well as rider classes.

 

Qualifying for the Grand National Championships is a major achievement in itself and actually winning a class is the ultimate goal for all serious showies.  There is considerable prize money on offer for winners of all classes, as well as a floral garland, sash and rug; runner-up's will also recieve prize money, a sash and rug; and the top ten in each class will recieve a sash.

 

International judges for the Grand National Championships are Ms Jan Darwin, UK and Mr Edward Young UK.

 

Even if you aren't eligible to enter, but are a fan of top quality show horses, mark you calendar and come along to Horsley Park in April, to see the best in Australia battle it out.

 

Entries close on 28 January 2011 and no late entries will be accepted.
