Published on Sunday, October 3, 2010 in General
6-9 October - visitors to Dubbo Showgrounds will be seeing spots during the 32nd NSW Appaloosa Championships. Appaloosas of all shapes, sizes and colours will be presented for the judges, across the wide program of events that showcases the versatility of these beautiful horses, including everything from dressage and hacking to halter and western pleasure. There are large numbers entered for the comprehensive English events program, with a specialist judge for the dressage and the hack events.
The numerous western events, which include an open (all breeds) $500 feature halter, hunter and western pleasure, will be judged by Mr Dave Young (NZL). To make sure everyone gets a turn in the ring, as well as the horse classes - junior, senior and feature events - there are youth and amateur divisions, with amateurs broken up into limited division (for less experienced competitors) and masters (competitors aged 50 and over) as well as standard amateur classes.
A one day all breeds show will be held on the first day, 6 October, which already has over 80 entries.
So if you're wanting to add some spotty sparkle to your life by watching the stunning Appaloosa horses in action, be sure to visit the NSW Appaloosa Championships!
