The 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale kicks off at the earlier time of 10:30am tomorrow morning in Sydney, with all pedigree updates of the 680 fillies and mares to be sold available at www.inglis.com.au 48% of fillies and mares catalogued are siblings to stakes winners, just like Black Caviar’s dam Helsinge was when sold at the Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale in 2005, while 76% of all offerings are being sold in-foal to proven and exciting young sires from both Australia and New Zealand. ... Camilla Enemark, the 31-year-old Danish Jumping rider, passed away on Tuesday (10 April) after losing her battle against an aggressive brain tumour first diagnosed in 2006. Born on Christmas Eve, 24 December 1980, Camilla started riding competitively when she was 12 years old, going on to claim the Danish national championship in 1996. ... Postcard from the Saddle... The average and median prices headed upwards on Day Two of the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale , where overseas interests fought hard against local buyers to secure their next champion. 120 yearlings were sold at an average of $238,583 and median of $180,000, comparable to last year’s overall average and median of $238,260 and $180,000 respectively. ...
