New Date For Sydney International Three Day Event!

The Sydney International Three Day Event has a NEW date! Following consultation with riders, Eventing NSW, the National Eventing Committee and Equestrian Australia’s High Performance Program SIE has confirmed its two event dates for 2012 and beyond. The Sydney International 3DE, previously held in September, has moved to a NEW date in April. The Show Horse Council of Australasia hosted the Pitcher Partners Pacific Coast Championships on 11-12 February at Horseworld Nelson and despite terribly wet weather, the show featured good strong classes with top quality horses in attendance. Horsezone was one of the proud sponsors of this event and are pleased that the weather didn't get in the way of a great show! The NSW Police Force is delighted to announce that its Mounted Unit has been invited to perform at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant later this year. The announcement was made today during a ceremony in the community gardens on McElhone Street, Woolloomooloo, honouring NSW Mounted Police Unit. The pageant, ‘The World Comes To Windsor’, will take place at Windsor Castle in May and will feature 500 horses from across the world to represent countries the Queen has visited on more than 250 State visits.... This year’s Cooma Rodeo, held on Saturday 11 February, was again a popular attraction in the Snowy Mountains town. Affiliated with the ABCRA, there were action packed events starting at Midday and going well into the night. In conjunction with the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia, the Sydney CDI Organising Committee is pleased to announce Andreas Schöffner from Germany will be their special young horse guest rider at the coming Sydney CDI. The top three placegetters in each age group in the second round will be eligible to take part in the Final on Saturday afternoon. The Tamworth District Western Performance and Appaloosa Club has advised that due to the amount of rain over the last few weeks, the Management of AELEC and Tamworth Regional Council have put the MOSCOW CIRCUS into the Selling Complex of the AELEC centre. The Committee has inspected the venue and due to the nature of some of the circus acts including Wall of Death with motorbikes and a human cannon ball plus the restricted access to the main arena, it is not in the safe or in the best interests of contestants to hold the show at this time. ...
