The 2010 Australian International 3 Day Event is back on track after facing some financial hurdles recently.

Australian international 3 Day Event, Event Director, Gillian Rolton says that with fantastic support from our major sponsors the South Australian Tourism Commission and Equestrian Australia, the event will once again be held in Adelaide’s beautiful parklands.
“Without Equestrian Australia and the South Australian Government’s backing of this truly unique event, the Australian International 3 Day Event would surely have been lost to another State,” said Ms Rolton.
“In addition to the support from the State Government and Equestrian Australia, the event has also received some generous donations from both local and overseas. The increase in funding from the Adelaide City Council’s initial sponsorship has also ensured the event will go ahead this year. This is testament to the value that the event brings to South Australia, as well as to Australia’s developing and elite riders,” said Ms Rolton.
Events South Australia General Manager Hitaf Rasheed said, “Last year the South Australian Tourism Commission increased funding and support for the event, committing to a new three year agreement for 2009-2011 and will continue to work closely with event organisers to create a sustainable and viable model.”
“The Australian International 3 Day Event is a unique event in the South Australian event calendar and we look forward to another successful event,” said Ms Rasheed.
As a major sponsor of the 2010 Australian International 3 Day Event, Equestrian Australia’s Chief Executive Grant Baldock said, “Equestrian Australia together with the South Australian Government and the Australian International 3 Day Event are working to ensure the success of the 2010 Event. A four-star event is vital to the Australasian Eventing calendar and the development of our elite riders and horses.”
“We look forward to working together with the South Australian Tourism Commission, Equestrian Australia and our generous sponsors to ensure the long term viability of this fantastic Adelaide event,” said Ms Rolton.
The Australian International 3 Day Event is one of only six of its kind in the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere.
Tickets for the 2010 Australian International 3 Day Event will be on sale through Venuetix from Monday 30 August.
