AELEC Arena Record Broken in Round One of ABCRA Rodeo Finals

Murrurundi competitor Jo Farquhar (pictured) is no stranger to success having a long list of achievements to her name.  The AELEC record is now just another notch in her belt.  Recording a time of 17.23 seconds and winning round one of the ABCRA National Finals Barrel Race.

Jessica Norton was quickest off the mark in the Breakaway Roping recording a time of 3.15 seconds.  Jannette Glass from Attunga was the nights Champion in the Steer Undecorating event with 2.47 seconds.

Local competitors Casey Tribe and Ty Parkinson are now in the race for the National Finals average title taking out round one in 7.19 seconds in the Team Roping.  For Emerald competitor Clancy Middleton it was well worth the drive taking out the Steerwrestling in 4.33 seconds.

David Worsfold was number one in the Bareback event and thrilling the crowd with a great 77 point ride.  Leading this years All Round Cowboy title and the first round of the Saddle Bronc with 78 points was Carl Green from Walcha.  The night finished up with the Bull Ride which was an unbelievable event with great stock.  Brad Pierce was the one who brought the crowd to their feet with an 84 point ride. 

The race for the ABCRA National Finals average and Championship titles are now underway and the  race is on to achieve the dream of being an ABCRA Champion.   Make sure to check out the action packed week out at AELEC.
