AHHA QLD HUNTER SHOW

On 1st August 2010 the Australian Hunter Horse Association held their inaugural AHHA Qld Hunter Show at Maryborough Showground. This show featured not only show and working hunter classes, but also rider and open hack classes. The quality of entrants in all classes was extremely high and the overall atmosphere of the show was very relaxed and enjoyable.

Overall Supreme Champion Ridden Hunter Horse went to the chestnut gelding Hanley Park Practical Magic ridden by Samantha Swaine and Mikhaela Roos on Binnowie Benedict took out the Hi Point Working Hunter Title for highest scoring working hunter horse of the day.

Carmen Hunn was the photographer for the day and for beautiful pictures of the event, please visit: www.photosbycarmen.com.au

Show organiser, Shirley Callaghan deserves a very special mention as she worked tirelessly for a number of months to coordinate this show and truly produced a well run, professional event.

A big thank you also goes out to all sponsors who together helped make the show a huge success. Sponsorship included rugs, garlands, prize money, products and vouchers and the day would not have been the same without their support.

Unfortunately our commentator, did not turn up, which meant that our very generous sponsors did not get the full recognition they deserved on show day. In light of this we would like to take the opportunity to list each of them below. Please support these businesses as without their valuable sponsorship, events like this one would not be possible and all sponsors were extremely generous with their time and prizes.
