Announcing the Winners of the EA Club Development Grants

Published on Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Clubs

Recipients of the 2013 EA Club Development Grants have today been announced with 16 clubs to reap the benefits of the $30,000 funding pool.

Clubs were invited to apply for a slice of the $30,000 funding to put towards facilities upgrades, purchasing of new equipment or membership and volunteer recruitment programs.

The initiative attracted a strong response from clubs with EA receiving 60 applications for funding assistance.

Clubs were assessed by representatives from EA and the state branches on how they engage and work with their current membership base, as well as the detail of their proposals and how the funding would further assist their Clubs and the equestrian community.

Equestrian Australia CEO Grant Baldock was pleased with the number of applications received and indicated there would be further opportunities for Clubs to come.

“The funding made available to Clubs through the EA Club Development Grant will allow them to boost the programs and services they offer their members.

“The financial assistance will go a long way in providing support to upgrade facilities, purchase new equipment and offer improved services to their members and the vast geographic spread of grant recipients means the benefits will be felt right across Australia.

“EA is working with the state branches on creating additional opportunities for Clubs with more information to be revealed in the coming months,”
