Another Horse Tests Positive to Hendra
Published on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in Health
Another horse on a property near Boonah, south-west of Brisbane, has been put down after testing positive for the deadly hendra virus.
Queensland Premier Anna Bligh says the horse was tested at the Mount Alford property over the weekend.
A horse on the same property tested positive on Friday and was put down, while a horse that died on the property a fortnight ago also had the virus.
The horse euthanised on Monday was the third to test positive at the Mount Alford property and the fourth horse to test positive in south-east Queensland.
