ATSB Proud Sponsors of the Australia Wide Tour of Matthias Werner Eminent German Trakehner Verband Classifier
Australian Trakehner Select Breeders (ATSB) are proud sponsors of Trakehners Australia (TA) and in conjunction with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA), the Trakehners Australia Inc Tour with eminent International German Trakehner Verband Classifier/Assessor – Matthias Werner, which is being held Australia wide in March.
Classifications being conducted will include:
- Purebred Trakehner Classification
for fillies three years and older.
- Purebred Trakehner Assessments
open to all purebred Trakehners.
- Trakehner Sporthorse Assessment
open to all registered partbred Trakehners.
- AWHA Assessment and Classifications
open to all AWHA members and
registered AWHA horses.
ATSB Partners are thrilled about this tour, saying, "To have the Trakehner Verband give credit to Trakehners Australia Inc and the Australian Warmblood Breeding Industry via the AWHA, and recognize the very hard work both Societies have invested into this Tour, is a fantastic accomplishment for Australia and our Warmblood breeding of the future. The German Trakehner Verband are the eminent breeding body for Trakehner Breeding Worldwide."

Australian Trakehner Select Breeders’ Mission is to promote the Trakehner Warmblood.
This unique breeds’ origins’, date back to the Foundation Main Stud in Trakehnen, East Prussia, by royal decree of the Prussian King in 1732.
The Trakehner Warmblood breed is the only riding horse breed, that has been bred in accordance with the principles of pure breeding.
Some of the World's Internationally successful Equine Athletes carry the Trakehner origin somewhere in their pedigree, TV Licenced Stallion Gribaldi, KWPN Licenced Stallion Moorlands Totilas, Danish bred Matinee, to name a few, in the last 10 years that are pure and part Trakehner bred - internationally proven Grand Prix performance Warmblood superstars!
In association with their Partners, ATSB promotes the ‘Trakehner Warmblood’ Genetics, Attributes and Pedigree, for the ultimate goal of producing Sporthorses in Australia that are World Class Equine Athletes.
Australian Trakehner Select Breeders – serving the Australian Equine Industry through importation of frozen semen from the ‘Internationally renowned, Trakehner Verband’ Licenced Trakehner Stallions’
Genetically, the Trakehner breed can be traced back directly to the foundation of the Main Stud in Trakehnen, by royal decree of the Prussian King in 1732. Even to date, Trakehners are the only riding horse breed, bred in accordance with the principles of pure breed, with a high genetic proportion of English and Arabian thoroughbred, Shagya and Anglo-Arabian, and in keeping with the selection criteria of the Trakehner Verband, Germany.
The Trakehner Verband's (Trakehner Association) mission, is to promote this original breed in its particular Trakehner-specific form. Many Licenced Stallions are also licenced for other Warmblood Breed Associations to ‘lighten’ the heavier Warmblood breeds.
Many of the World's top Equine Olympic Athletes have Trakehner pure or cross breeding bloodlines.

ATSB proudly sponsors Trakehners Australia Inc who are instrumental in promoting the Trakehner Warmblood pure and part-bred horse to the Australian Sporthorse Industry, and are also proud supporters of the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA), who have been instrumental in forging close liaisons with the Trakehner Verband Germany.
The AWHA endeavour to raise awareness Internationally, of the abilities of the Australian Warmblood Industry, in breeding World Class Sporthorses, for export internationally and for the Olympic Disciplines of Dressage, Showjumping and Three Day Eventing.
ATSB brings to Australia the German Trakehner Verband best Licenced Trakehner Stallions – a Warmblood breed, that is a proven internationally decorated and winning Sporthorse, and a breed that has not been very popular in Australia, but is now becoming more popular due to the International successes of Moorlands Totilas, Sisther de Jeu, Gribaldi, Matinee to name a few. The Trakehner breed has proven it’s winning edge and attributes in Europe, UK and USA.
