Australia's campaign for the Senior Trans Tasman Eventing title is off to the perfect start with Aussie combinations sitting in first second and third place after Dressage.
Australian standings after day one are as follows:
1st - Shane Rose and Taurus
2nd - Chrisitne Bates and Delago
3rd - Natalie Blundell and Algebra
6th - Katja Weimann and BP Gallantry
"We're off to a great start but this is not a dressage competition," said National Performance Director for Eventing Prue Barrett. "The Cross Country course is true to Kiki reputation, so it will be tough. John Nicholosn has built a big but fair track and it would certainly compare to a four star track in size and technicality. The fences are beautifully presented and our riders are certainly looking forward to the challenge tomorrow," she said.
Stay tuned for day two action.
