Polocrosse is both an exciting and skilful sport played on horseback. For the player the sport combines the love of competition and horses. It offers a chance to play a contact sport involving strategy and teamwork. It keeps its players addicted and attracts new fans and spectators year after year. The pace on the field is fast, with players battling for possession of the ball. From the first line up to the closing whistle, each match is full of action, clashing racquets, blazing ball skills, amazing horsemanship and exciting goal scoring. The Australian polocrosse horse has the qualities of a well turned athlete, speed agility and the desire to win.

The PAA will be reaching out to the Australian community for sponsorship for this vibrant team to compete at an elite level with spirited competition in July 2011. Our players will ride borrowed horses which will be drawn from across the UK and Ireland. There are eight countries competing; Australia, United Kingdom, USA, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ireland, New Zealand and Zambia.

The Polocrosse Association of Australia acknowledges the valued support of the Australian Sports Commission as a proud partner with Polocrosse Australia.

This notable event will be staged at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire from 8-17 July, 2011.
