Can You Help Support the Rehabilitation of Cruz?

Published on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in General

Cruz has been surrendered by a very loving owner who has been Cruz's riding partner for the past eleven years to Quest Equine Welfare. Circumstances have dictated that Cruz's surrendering owner has been unable to care for Cruz adequately for a time, and he has done the best thing for Cruz and surrendered him into care.

According to his brands, Cruz was foaled in either 1992 or 1982. He is an incredibly soft natured boy and is reportedly a fantastic riding horse... will jump anything, loves to swim in dams with his rider, fine with dogs, (and happy to give them a lift on trail rides), fine with traffic.. just an all-round good boy. He has also apparently he has also taught many children to ride.

Cruz's failure to thrive is a bit of a mystery at the moment as the two horses in the paddock with him were as fat as mud. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it however, and we hope to see some improvement soon.

We would be thrilled if people would like to join us in supporting Cruz’s rehabilitation and care. For as little as $5 per week you can help Cruz along in his journey, and don’t forget that all sponsorship is tax deductible.
