Horse and Hound has reported that organisers of The London International Horse Show, Olympia (17-23 December) have announced that Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro (pictured) are confirmed to compete in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup qualifier, held on the Monday night (17 December).

The double Olympic gold medallist will compete against her teammate and mentor, Carl Hester, riding Uthopia.

They will be leading a strong British contingent in the preliminary grand prix on the Monday night, including Nikki Crisp and Pasoa, Michael Eilberg riding Half Moon Delphi and Daniel Sherriff with Bayford Hall Dallaglio.

The top 15 combinations in this class will contest the following night’s freestyle to music (18 December), one of the highlights of the British dressage calendar.

The Netherlands have three riders competing, including Olympic team bronze medallist, Edward Gal riding Glock’s Undercover. Norway’s Lillann Jebsen also returns to compete this year, riding Pro-Set.

Top riders from Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Portugal and Sweden will also be competing at Olympia.

Olympia is celebrating its 40th birthday at the Olympia halls since the Show was re-launched in 1972.  It’ll be an action-packed event with Olympic medal winners competing in both dressage and jumping.
