Chris Cox wins 'Road to the Horse'

Current cowboy legend Chris Cox won the Road to the Horse, earning his third such title, on February 27, 2011.

Current cowboy legend Chris Cox won the USA Road to the Horse, earning his third such title, on February 27, 2011.

The 2011 Road to the Horse Legends three-day colt-starting competition, held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, also included Aussie Clinton Anderson and Natural Horsemanship legend Pat Parelli.

Chris Cox won top Road to the Horse honors in 2007 and 2008 as well.

“It’s more than just winning” 2011 Road to the Horse winner Chris Cox told America’s Horse Daily. “It’s for these excited people who want to see great horsemanship and want to see these great horses.”

For this year’s Road to the Horse competition, Chris Cox worked with a gray colt named Perfect Performance (Sixes Pick x Best Performance by Special Effort).
