Hawkesbury Dressage Club is turning 21 in 2012 and they want you and your horse to help them celebrate!

The opportunity to ride at the incredible Sydney International Equestrian Centre is just one reason to be a part of Hawkesbury Dressage Club. The venue was not only the host of the 2000 Olympic Equestrian events, but also plays host to the Sydney CDI and the Australian Dressage Championships. Now you too can  experience the magic of competing at this fantastic venue, which has ample room, superb arena surfaces and a great atmosphere.

With the enviable home ground of the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, the Hawkesbury Dressage Club is run by a small but very dedicated committee who work tirelessly to support its members. Founded in 1991 by A-Level judge Jan Geary, the club has a great mix of supporting competitors of the highest level, but also an atmosphere that welcomes and encourages newcomers and recreational dressage enthusiasts.

Four competitions will be held in 2012 with a members only day at the end of the year. The club also runs protocol and training clinics which are very popular with members. Successful national riders such as Judy Dierks, Anne Slatford and Peter Shaw are just some of the instructors members have had the opportunity to train with.

The 2011 Championships was the club’s biggest competition to date with 370 entries and $6000 worth of prizes kindly donated to the club by fabulous sponsors.  In the Club's 21st year the 2012 Championships will be even bigger, run over two days with record entries expected and prize sponsors will have the opportunity to promote their products at the venue.

New members are welcome to join, membership is affordable and includes reduced entry fees to all HDC competitions and exclusivity to their protocol/training days.  Membership applications are available through Global Entries Online www.globalentriesonline.com.au.  Also, as part of HDC membership, members have the opportunity to nominate themselves and their horse for the club’s “Horse of the Year” award.

Meetings are held at the Richmond Club each month and members are encouraged to come along and participate as the Committee is always open to feedback and new ideas.

HDC is looking forward to celebrating 21 years so why not come along and join this fun and friendly club?
