Published on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in General
A team of 20 Clydesdale horses stepped into the record books on Saturday at the Good Old Days Heavy Horse Festival held at Barellan, in the Riverina, last weekend.
The team hauled a wagon loaded with 6.2 tonnes of wool, rewriting the modern record for the most number of Clydesdales to pull a wagon, breaking last year's record of 17.
Valued at $5,000-$10,000 each, the 20 horses pulled a wagon loaded with 26 bales of wool weighing 240kg each.
