Day 14: Harrie Fasher Artist

Published on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in General

Harrie Fasher is an artist whose work is a direct demonstration of her relationship with the horse.

Drawings and sculptures engage the horse as the object of fantasy, alongside the adrenaline, precision and trauma of elite competition and the vast history of the horse and man. Harrie is currently working from an eclectic studio in the Hawkesbury and spends hours in the saddle on the St Albans Common walking and drawing.  This direct combination of art and the horse has become a meditative exercise allowing for a reinvigoration of childhood fantasy.

Why not purchase one of Harrie's evocative artworks, as the perfect Christmas Gift, for that special horse person in your life?

Harrie is represented by Maunsell Wickes Gallery, 19 Glenmore Road, Paddington, Sydney.
