The Donges Supa IGA 2014 Young Dressage Championships took place at picturesque grounds in Bendick Murrell over the Easter weekend.   Competitors came from throughout the eastern seaboard of Australia and rode 542 tests in front of judges from throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The grounds were magnificent and an excellent exhibitor village was there for spectators and riders alike to do some retail therapy. Sponsors banners were clearly displayed in the beautiful sunshine and ground clearly benefitted from the work of the volunteers who had sprayed, erected stables and managed to organise this marvellous event.

The championships started on Good Friday promptly at 08:30 and kicked off with the Junior Preliminary 1.1 in Arena 2. The other five sand arenas were up and running by 09.00 and the day focussed on the Prep tests, Junior and Pony Preliminary, Preliminary and Novice tests. The last test was ridden at 2:30pm on Sunday so it was long arduous 3 days for all competitors, horses, ponies, volunteers and judges.
